(Los Angeles, CA, Feb. 26) Responding to the call of the National Latino Congreso (www.latinocongreso.org) held in El Paso, Texas, January 29-31, a multi-level partnership launched “Texts for Justice/Textos ParaJusticia” today, an effort to include tens of thousands of immigrant justice supporters in the national advocacy and fundraising campaign to achieve legalization for America’s 10-12 million undocumented persons in 2010.

(Los Angeles, February 26, 2010) – Los Angeles based Latino Voters League officially launched a signature gathering campaign today for the "California State Parks and Wildlife Conservation Trust Fund Act of 2010". This statewide ballot measure will create a stable and reliable funding source to protect state parks, conserve wildlife and increase public access to the 278 parks spread across 1.4 million acres. In the past two years these parks were twice on the brink of being shut down because of California’s budget cuts.
